Botanical Name: Anacyclus pyrethrum

Pellitory is a plant. Historically, the root was used as medicinal herbs to make medicine for treating arthritis and for improving digestion and akarkara powder is sometimes applied directly to the gums for toothaches and to the skin to kill insects.

Akarkara Powder should not be confused with another plant called pellitory-of-the-wall.
