Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate is an additive used as an effective foamer and is associated with much less irritation than Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.

It is sourced from coconut and in making cosmetics it is found in personal care products like soaps, shampoos, toothpaste etc.

Both the FDA and Health Canada have determined that both SLS and SLES are completely safe.
