Policies

Placing an Order

You can place your orders:

On-line or by phone with one of our customer service representatives at 1-888-612-6461. Currently, we have no minimum purchase ordering. All orders will be checked within 24 hours of receipt so that any discrepancies may be addressed. Once an order has been confirmed we will not accept any additions or deletions to that order. If you wish to have any item removed after the order has been packed, a restocking fee will be applied to cover the cost of removing the item(s) and repacking the order. The fee will be 25% of the cost of the items removed. Any additions will be treated as a new order with all applicable guidelines. Please ensure that all orders are accurate prior to finalizing.

Order Cancellations

Since orders are processed so quickly, efficiently and sometimes in less than 2 hours, they can not be cancelled if shipped out the same day. If the order has not been shipped out same day, but order has been filled, it will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Verbal and fax orders can be cancelled same day if orders have not been packed. Please call us immediately and we will evaluate the order.

Payment Options

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Pay Pal, Certified Cheque, Money Order, Direct Bank Transfer, E-mail Transfer. We do not accept Wire Transfers. All payments will be taken before an order is packed and shipped. For Direct Deposit Payments, customers are encouraged to fax us a copy of the confirmation of payment to 1-888-612-6461.

Please note that: All credit card orders with a subtotal of $500.00 or more, or having a different bill-to and ship-to address, will require an authorization form to be filled out, signed and returned by the card holder.

Shipping

Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Toronto, Canada. We currently ship using ground courier to all provinces in Canada. We use Canada Post as our default shipping agent. Please note in certain rural areas, we will use Purolator or UPS.

Please note that your shipping cost is calculated on-line using an integrated Canada Post shipping module, using the best annual negotiated discounted rates. Our Canada Post online quotes are estimates based on weight and volume calculations. We reserve the right to change the shipping charges at any time. If this occurs, you will be contacted for approval before your order is processed. We currently do not require orders to be signed when delivered. However should customers want the signature required option, a fee of $10.00 will be charged by Canada Post. Time to time, we will offer flat shipping rates or freeshipping!

Sunrise Botanics takes no responsibility for any loss, damages, or delay that may occur. We ship all orders without insurance unless we are given notification that additional insurance is required.

There will be a Canada Post or UPS charge between $10-$15 which will be billed to the customer if you call Canada Post and/or UPS to re-direct your parcel to another address, if your address is input incorrectly or missing information and requires a Canada Post/UPS update.

Customers can use alternative shipping methods such as using their own shipping account, own courier or arranging for a third party to facilitate shipping upon request but Sunrise Botanics will take no responsibility for shipping that is arranged by our customers.

Should a customer decide to handle their own shipping arrangements, we require that a waiver to be signed to ensure that Sunrise Botanics isn't held accountable for any shipping issue outside of our control.

Only ground shipments are available for essential oils as they are classified as Hazardous Goods when shipped by air. Express shipments (Air) are available at cost on bottles and raw materials only. Please note that transporters often do not heat their trucks in winter, nor refrigerate them in summer. This will not harm the integrity of the product. Simply leave the product at room temperature for 24 hours before opening. Occasionally, stirring the product before use will be required to regain its consistency.

Pick Up Orders

Sunrise Botanics does not have any pick up service available as this allows us to offer the most competitive pricing in the industry by keeping our costs low.

Sales Promotions

Every so often, we have sales promotions on select products for limited periods of time based on various reasons such as bulk discounts that we negotiated with our vendors. From time-to-time, we hold final clearance sales on items offered at extra discounted prices. Make sure to check our Sales page often.

Taxes

The sales tax charged depends on where you ask Sunrise Botanics to ship the order as follows:

Ontario: 13% HST
Prince Edward Island: 14% HST
New Brunswick, Newfoundland/Labrador, Nova Scotia: 15% HST
All other provinces BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Saskatchewan & Yukon: 5% GST
USA: No taxes

Please note: As of July 1st 2010, no business in Ontario will be tax exempt.
