Tienchi Root

Botanical Name: Panax pseudoginseng

Tienchi ginseng is a plant. The root is used to make medicine. Be careful not to confuse Tienchi ginseng with other forms of ginseng, such as panax ginseng.

Tienchi used to stop or slow down bleeding. It is sometimes taken by people who have nosebleeds, vomit up or cough up blood, or find blood in their urine or feces.

Tienchi ginseng is also used to relieve pain; and to reduce swelling, cholesterol, and blood pressure. It is also used for chest pain (angina), strokes, dizziness, and sore throat.

Some people apply Tienchi ginseng directly to the skin to stop bleeding.

Tienchi ginseng might relax blood vessels, which would improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure. There isn't enough information to know how Tienchi ginseng might work for prostate cancer and other conditions.
