Botanical Name:  Celastrus paniculata

The Malkangni plant is also called the Black-Oil tree, Intellect tree, or Climbing-staff plant. It is a shrub used in Ayurdevic medicine in India. This oil is a cold-pressed raw herbal oil expressed from the seeds of Celastrus panuculatis, a shrub native to India.

Common Uses: Malkangni Seed Oil is a Carrier Oil used to increase memory and facilitate learning. It induces a feeling of well-being and has reported aphrodisiac effects. Malkangni Seed Oil has great medicinal value externally as it is used for massage with great benefit, especially in vata diseases like sciatica, lumbago, paralysis, arthritis and facial palsy.

Absorption: Absorbs into the skin at an average speed, and leaves slight oily feeling on the skin.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of two years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
